Procurement Specialist

Responsibilities

• The ability to manage a large selected group of vendors and their associated objectives on a day to day basis.
• The ability to negotiate vendor-related terms, pricing and performance in line with the Company’s technical, business and legal requirements
• The ability to drive detailed analysis necessary to select and contract the appropriate supplier: Capability, Pricing & Performance in accordance with Prodea’s Procurement processes.
• Vendor capability assessment; vendor sourcing; Price & quote analysis; vendor performance assessment; Management & resolution of multiple vendor problems, issues and concerns
• The ability to understand and proactively plan for procurement objectives and day-to-day challenges
• The ability to utilize visual controls and timely reporting to identify abnormal conditions or milestones to ensure projects or business needs are meeting or exceeding targets.
• The ability to develop, implement and manage resolution of issues and concerns arising within responsible shops, commodities or suppliers on timely basis.
• The ability to identify opportunities for process improvement of supplier performance relative to price reductions and performance measurements.
• Establish and maintain professional and effective styles of communication (face-to-face, individual and group, phone, e-mail etc) in reporting to peers, middle and upper management of both Prodea and external entities. Communication in this manner is conducted on a daily basis.
• The ability to manage procured solutions and services among multiple internal groups to ensure compliance with executed legal agreements.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration or related business field)
• 3+ years cumulative experience in Purchasing, Procurement, and Contracts Management. 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (a must)
• A professional negotiation demeanor.
• Experience and/or capability in price analysis skills.
• Experience operating in a business team environment.

Desired

• Preferably degreed with existing business related experience, knowledge of information technology, software licensing, and IT professional services.  
• A proactive self-starter with a hard-work ethic
