Manufacturing & Repair Services Management

The position is an integral part of Prodea Systems’ supply chain operations team focused on product sustainment and continuous improvement. This resource is expected to exhibit electronics & electro-mechanical manufacturing and repair knowledge, business acumen, and quick analytical thinking in support of a fast moving and growing supply chain organization. The position will enjoy the responsibilities associated with ramping up and sustaining an aggressive, customer focused startup.

Experiences & Responsibilities

The following outlines the base responsibilities of the position.  Qualified candidates need to have proven experience in the outlined areas.

  • Contract manufacturer relationship and performance management, working closely with manufacturers to ensure that Prodea Systems’ best interests are continually maintained
  • Repair services provider relationship and performance management, working closely with returns centers to ensure optimal product test, troubleshooting, repair, and refurbishment processes
  • Engineering specification and BOM analysis, working in conjunction with Hardware Engineering to ensure that components used by service providers meet Prodea Systems’ strict requirements
  • Materials & components cost analysis with a focus on continuous cost improvement and supply risk management
  • Repair and product quality data analysis and reporting, working in conjunction with Hardware Engineering to continually improve product and manufacturing processes by leveraging manufacturability and serviceability improvement opportunities
  • Supplier scorecard & performance management, including issuance and follow-up on corrective actions and execution of change requests
  • Strong knowledge of the product lifecycle management (PLM) discipline, including strong knowledge of product change management (ECO) and revision control processes
  • Use of PLM systems and confidence pulling reports from enterprise databases

Education

  • BSc in electrical, mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering
  • Engineering or business graduate degree, or currently pursuing a plus
