Vice President of Operations
With more than 15 years of experience in end-to-end product life-cycle management, Michael Cooper is responsible for Network Operations and Supply Chain at Prodea Systems.
Michael earned distinction during his tenure at Nortel and was recognized as top talent within the organization. Michael’s breadth of responsibilities included business strategy, product marketing, research and development, and operations. He received multiple corporate awards such as a CEO Quality Award of Excellent, The President’s Award of Excellence and the President’s Award of Excellence for Innovation, among others.
He joined Nortel as a member of the scientific staff. Through his career he has held a broad breadth of assignments across wide-ranging technologies, including wireline, optical, OAM, and wireless in the voice and data domains. He has had extensive international experience working across 5 continents during his career and resided in London for a period of time. Ultimately, he earned the position of Vice President of core technologies for wireless networks, a multinational organization with over 1,200 resources. Michael’s ownership included Nortel’s GSM, UMTS and CDMA Core product lines with responsibilities for business performance, as well as strategic planning, research & development, systems engineering and deployment.
Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Tulane University.
